22 August 2016 Dear Sir,
An Assesse who has not filed his IT Return for A.Y. 2014-15. Now IT Deptt has asked to make Compliance for that year as he has income from Fixed Deposits of Rs. 2.60 Lacs and TDS has been deducted of Rs. 26000.00. He is a Super Senior Citizen as such he is liable for refund of that entire TDS deducted on Fixed Deposits. So whether it is possible to file Online Return now, if yes then under which section and what he will write in the compliance.

Please suggest as it is urgent.

23 August 2016 you can file the return. If the e filing portal is NOT allowing you to upload....contact the CIT of your jurisdiction and ask for the permission..... CIT can issue permission to file the return.

23 August 2016 THERE IS NO SYSTEM FOR TAKE PERMISSION FROM CIT. ONLY THING YOU CAN DO TO WRITE A LETTER TO THE ITO FOR ISSUING NOTICE UNDER SUB-SECTION (1) OF SECTION 142. HOWEVER, YOU CAN TAKE SHELTER OF A CBDT CIRCULAR FOR BELATED REFUND.
