Can i file income tax return of financial year 2008-09 in the financial year 2010-11.
The return is for "NIl"

Is there any penalty in this case?

02 November 2010 Yes you can file return of Fy 08-09 till 31.03.2011. There is a penalty of Rs 5000/-

A penalty of Rs 5,000 may be imposed under section 271 F if
belated return is submitted after the end of the assessment year.
