09 March 2010 wether monthly charges paid for living in service apartment eligible as rent paid for residential house to claim deduction of House rent allowance u/s 10(13A)under Income tax Act 1961?

09 March 2010 Yes.it is eligible for claiming deduction only rental part.because service appartments generally give combined bill for rent & other services.Rental part eligible for HRA claim
