22 November 2012 peridocity for my asessee for service tax return is six monthly, then when to file return for period april 2012 to sep 2012. The utility provided on site is not proper.
or shud it be filed in quarterly basis as new form is for apr to jun 12

22 November 2012 Although service tax return is filed for the half-year but there is a change for the first half year.

From 1st July, 2012 negative list is applicable and the whole concept of service tax has changed.

Old concept was applicable for 1.4.12 to 30.6.12.

Accordingly the return is to be filed only for the first 3 periods (under old concept).

For the period July to September, return will be filed in the new format which is yet to be notified.
