if in exam quate wrong section but inside matter is correct whether mark is given or not?

Look it depends on examiner, but as far as i know marks are given but after deduction for quoting wrong section. That is why we always suggest if you know the section accurately only then quote the section otherwise not.

Marks will be granted for ultimate answer. But negative impression on examiner is sure...
