09 January 2011 the company got incorporated on 16/01/2009 and AGM conducted on 10/07/2010, for the financial year ending 31/03/2010 what is the due date of AGM

09 January 2011 As per Section 166 of the Act first AGM should be held within 18 months from the date of incorporation. No extension by ROC is permissible. Hence the AGM falls due on 15-06-2010.Pl note that there is no need for conducting AGM during the calender year 2009.

09 January 2011 i think as per calculation it is Due date of Agm on 15/07/2010 that is 18 months from the date of incorporation that is 16/01/2009 as per sec 166, financial year from (16/01/2009 to 31/03/2010)

09 January 2011 I should stand corrected. The words used in the section is "within 18 months from the date of incorporation". So counted from 16-01-2009 the first month is 15-02-2009 and 18th month falls on 15-07-2010. My answer stand corrceted accordingly.

10 January 2011 Mr. Narasimha Rao, your calculation is right. The due date of AGM was 15th July 2010 and you rightly conducted it before the due date on 10th July, 2010.
