Need clarification that one of my friend file his return for the fy 24-25 in old tax regime and last year also filed old tax regime.
He need to file form 10IEA before filling his tax return for the fy 24-25??
Please suggest

For ITR 3 or 4 no need. For ITR 1 & 2 just tick the regime in ITR itself.

If he had file his return in new 5ax regime in last year in case of ITR 1 & 2 then he must be file form 10IEA??

No. Just select old regime in ITR.

It is required to file only if you are filing ITR 3 or 4. while changing regime.
