If somebody wants to register under composition scheme and the business activity is renting of immovable property. What should be the nature of business to be selected at the time of registration since lease and supplier of services options are blocked.

A person engaged in renting of immovable property cannot legally register under the GST Composition Scheme. Since renting is a pure supply of services, the portal blocks leasing/service options by design. The correct route is regular GST registration (if taxable) or no registration (if exempt residential renting). Any incorrect selection under composition may lead to cancellation and heavy tax demand.
