Capital Gains calculation issue in Tax Portal Offline Utility

This query is : Resolved

19 October 2021 Issue coming in STCG (Equities/STT paid) Tax calculation. This problem was not there in Offline Utility ver 1.0.9,
but started from Ver 1.0.10 onwards. The STCG (Equities/STT Paid) is taxed at 15 percent. This is showing correctly in CYLA, BFLA but amount not showing in Sch Special Income. Again the STCG @ 15% is not calculated in Part B-T1. In PartB-T1 computation the value is shown in row/item 3 under Capital Gains -sub item STCG @15%, but is not showing in calculation in item 10 (Income chargeable to tax at Special Rate) and again not showing in Item 13 -Income which is included in 12 and chargeable to tax at special rates. The result is that the whole STCG is added to the income (ayt applicable rate) instead of charging it at 15 percent and then adding.

Raised grievance in early Sep21 in Portal but still problem exists. Is there a solution to this?

19 October 2021 Please download latest jason utility DU v 1.0.19 released on 13.10.2021, & reprocess the ITR.
In case you are filing ITR 5 or 6 wait for latest release.

19 October 2021 I have downloaded V 1.0.19 released on 13Oct21 and reprocessed my return, but the problem is still showing. I am filing ITR2. I think this is a small programming error in the Utility which needs to be fixed. This problem is only coming in STCG -Equity @15% and not in other CG calculations.

19 October 2021 In that case file complain under Grievances, along with screenshot...

19 October 2021 Yes I have raised grievance and uploaded the preview doc, with my remarks in red on the document - Part B - T1 calculation page. I am awaiting for a correction since end Aug 21.
Thanks.

19 October 2021 All earlier complaint upto September second week are resolved; so file the complaint that exists in DUv 1.0.19 only

19 October 2021 OK Thanks. Will do that.

22 October 2021 This error was there in ITR-2 earlier, but now it stands corrected. You need to download the updated utility and if the problem still persists, try refilling the data afresh in the latest utility

22 October 2021 Yes. I deleted the earlier entry made in STCG and re-entered the details. It was showing correctly after that and I could file the return. Thanks
