Investment proofs

Dear Experts,

Can anyone tell me which investment proofs are considered by the employer to give deductions U/s 80 C of income tax act to the employees while computing tds liability of the employees.

Receipt of premium paid online by credit card can be considered for the said deduction by employer or employer should insist for premium certificate from employees.

Kindly guide.

80e - interest on education loan

Definition of Higher education is proposed to be substituted by making a amendment as per
Finance (No. 2) Bill 2009. After the amendment Higher education would means any course of study
pursued after passing the Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent from any school, board or
university recognised by the Central Government or State Government or local authority or by any
other authority authorised by the Central Government or State Government or local authority to do
so.
My Query - I have taken a loan from Indian Bank for a Foreign Course. Will I be eligible to Claim deduction U/s 80 E? Is it necessary that the Foreign University shall be Central Govt recognised? If yes, is there any list of such universities available?
