04 March 2014 Dear sir, i want to know that if got register under Service Tax voluntary and i m not sure that whether my turnover will exceed 10lakh or less. Do i need to charge Service Tax in my bill from very beginning or to wait for the threshold limit of 10Lakhs.?

04 March 2014 Even if you are registered under service tax, you are NOT liable to pay service tax if your turnover does NOT exceed Rs. 10 lakhs.

However, this is applicable only if your turnover in the PREVIOUS year was less than Rs. 10 lakhs.
