whether I should join 3 month resindential programme in Faridabad with NIFM (starting from 1 june)or IIM, Indore(starting from 13 april).Is it beneficial for me? I have cleared CA final exam in Nov.08 and my articleship still left for 7 months.

I have a querry.

I enrolled for PE-II and the ICAI gave last chance till May 2009. Though I paid fee, I failed to write exams and not even passed one group.

After Mya 2009, what is the fate of PE-II students that too enrolled directly without attending PE-I (I enrolled thru my MBA qualification). Can they transfer the PE-II students to PCC or IPCC or to come again from CPA.

I have been preparing MAFA from V Pattabhi Ram's book and spend a lot of time practicing the chapter on Derivatives but lately I found that this chapter is not even covered by our CA Module nor the institute's compilor. So pls. guide how imp. is this chapter?

And also let me know which are the most imporatant chapters in MAFA and which are the most expected one's for the upcoming attempt.

I need a clarification with respect to leave during articleship under ca final old syllabus? Is it 1/6 or 1/7 of actual period served. And what does actual period served means. Is it the period of 3 years of articleship or period of articleship less leave taken?

I have completed my PE-II in my first attempt in Nov 2007. Somehow I was not able start my article ship till now. I intend to start it in another year.

I needed to know if I can start it at anytime or is there any time limit within which should start it.

I hope I will not be asked to start the whole course from PCE when I intend to do my finals.

My final is due in nov 09, but due to some reason i will ot be able to appear in nov 09. I will be appaering in may 10.
I am not sure whether i should convert my self into the new course or continue in the old course.

I also heard that nov 09 is the last batch for old course.Please suggest.
