Order Placed to - Rohit Rubber (Dealer)(having Excise No.)
Who Purchased from - Nocil Limited Kalyan (Supplier) (having Excise No.)
Original Manufacturer - Nocil Limited Belapur (having Excise No.)
[Manufacture & Supplier - they are having separate Excise No.]

OUR COMPANY IS INVOLVED IN PURCHASING OF ROCKS AND CUT IT IN TO GRANITE SLABS, POLISHD IT AND MAKE SALES... SO FAR V R NOT REGISTERED UNDER THE EXCISE SINCE OUR MANUFACTURED SALE DOES NOT EXCEED 150 LAKHS.. IN ANY EARLIER YEARS.
AS OF NOW (F.Y.2010-11) OUR SALES Rs.131 LAKHS.. NOW V GOT A Rs.30 LAKHS WORTH OF JOB WORK FOR ONLY CONVERTING THE ROCKs IN TO SLABS, POLISHED IT AND SEND IT BACK.. TO THE SUPPLIER OF THE ROCK FOR THIS MAJORE RAW MATERIALS OF ROCKS AND POLISHING MATERIAL SUPPLIED BY THE SUPPLIER EVEN THAT IS ALSO NOT REGISTERED UNDER THE EXCISE (SSI).
NOW MY QUESTION IS IF V ACCEPT THE JOB WORK
1) DOES IT FORM PART OF 150 LAKHS LIMIT AND R V REQUIRED TO COLLECT THE Excise Duty. WHEN JOB WORK BILL ISSUED TO THE SUPPLIER B4 31ST MARCH 2011
2) WHETHER CONVERTING OF ROCKS WHICH IS SUPPLIED BY ANOTHER COMPANY (SSI UNIT) IN TO POLISHED SLABS DOES IT AMOUNTS TO MANUFACTURE.. IF SO TO WHOM IT IS MANUFACTURE (FOR SUPPLIER OR JOB WORKER)
3)IF IT IS EXEMPT DOES IT REQUIR TO MAKE AN INTIMATION TO EXCISE DEPARTMENT EITHER B4 ACCEPTING THE JOB WORK OR AFTER COMPLETION OF JOB, SENDING BACK THE SLABS TO THE SUPPLIER
