we received some bills like professional charges & security charges, party is charging service tax in the bill. so question is on which amount tds should be deducted (basic or gross including service tax)

1.whether vat can be levied on the sale of the fixed assets which is not regular business of the aseesee?


2.in service tax on transportation,there is a provision that on 25% of the total frieght,service tax can be levied. my query is that whether the person who has paid such service tax ,can he claim credit of such service tax?

I have doubt in adding cell contents of a row in MS Excell

e.g I have
total
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 From to
Name * * * * * * * * * *

I want a formula so as to add cell contents as =SUM(from:end), WITHOUT giving direct cell reference, but want to give the reference as From: 1, To: 8
so that excell should make a total of data in the row from row"1" to row"8".

I want to have separate two cells where i could directly give these cell references
