Vat claim

i have received a Tax Invoice from a party. Amt before tax : 1805 Vat @ 16% : 288.80 Net Amt : 2093.80 Now i have paid that party a sum of 1884.42 after deducting 10% discount in final figure for which party also agreed and he wrote the final figure in invoice by hand. My question is, how much VAT i can claim in this invoice? 288.80 or 259.92 which is as per the new final figure.?? Thanks in advance

Accounting for non compete income

Hi all,

What accounting standard should we use to see treatment that needs to be followed in following case,
Company A has committed to pay comapny B 100mn to buy some rights. A has already paid 60mn out of it and balance 40mn is to be paid on certain conditions being satisfied. I want to know that how do we treat the balance 40 million? and what accounting standard would apply to it. This is not a sale in ordinary course of business.

Thanks for your time!
Regards,
Dhwani
