articeship termination

one of my frnd is writing PCC in may 09 but her principal is not ready to give her sufficient study leave.she will be completeng her 18 months articleship period by january. is it possible to take discontinue/take termination from the present firm nd join another firm after exams.There will be a gap of 3 months. is this decision wise??..

She should continue her articles at any place in order to appear for the exams.
