I WANT TO MAKE FDR FOR 5 YEARS FOR BENEFIT U/S 80C.
MY QUESTION IS:
AFTER MATURING
INTEREST INCOME IS TAXABLE OR NOT ?

07 September 2011 The interest earned on a tax saving FD is not tax free. It is fully taxable, just like the interest earned on a regular FD.
