11 February 2013 Is there any RBI guidelines issued for writing off of Doubtful debts??
Is it necessary that the company needs permission of RBI for writing off its doubtful debts for which already provision is made?
Is there any limit till which such permission need not be sought for?

RBI permission is required if you are writing of export receivables.

You need to take permission from RBI through your authorized dealer.
