03 October 2015 Good Morning..Hey my mother is having Income only from FD Interest.I want to file return to claim TDS refund.Kindly advise me should I file ITR-1 or 2??

03 October 2015 Sir even ITR-2 talks about other Income.Is there any particular reason for not filing ITR-2..Just for understanding

03 October 2015 No reason in particular, even ITR2 can be filed. Just that ITR1 is easier to file.

03 October 2015 for that matter you can file ITR-4 also. It also talks about income from other sources. what about ITR-2A?

03 October 2015 I don’t think ITR-4 is good to file in case of only FD income.The intent of ITR-4 is to cover business income but ya if interest income is there alongwith business income then we can file.But ya even ITR -2A can be filed.
