When to obtain tan no.

(1) when Turnover cross Rs. 1 crore or 25 lacs In the case of professional ,then apply for PAN nO.
(2) or After getting of TAX audit i.e froma 1 april for coming Financial year.
So you can apply for TAN for April 1 or earlier if you want to.

suppose for Financial year 2014-2015 ,from 1st april to 31st august my turnover cross Rs, 1 crore then in this we immediately apply for TAn no. and after obtaining TAN no we should deduct TDS, for financial year 2014-2015.
