I would like to know whether a publishing house getting its printing done from outside needs to pay VAT on the Bills generated by the Printers.

18 April 2010 Conradictory interparations have been made from various decisions of the Apex Court. By now, it is being believed that printing work falss under the ambit of works contract as because the property of ink is being transfered.

Accordingly, VAT liability is there.
