Please help me on this matter, A proprietor of an ABC Industries has registered a TIN number for his Electronic items business. Now he want to start boutique business as a secondary business. Can he start business from same name (ABC Industries) and also can he use same TIN Number which he using for his electronic business.

yes since the proprietor is the same

hence he can continue with the same Tin.

only thing that he should write a letter to the Vat authority stating that aDDITION TO THE COMMODITY LIST In a letter head.

13 April 2011 Pls Help me on this. Is there any chang at KVAT 5%. Beacause as per the notification VAT RATE OF 13.5% ON ALL OTHER GOODS INCLUDING THOSE TRASFERRED IN THE EXECUTION OF WORKS CONTRACT INCREASED TO 14%. Is there any changs at KVAT 5% also.

There is no change in the 5% rate of tax

only 13.5% is incresed to 14% effective from 01.04.2011
