assessee had sold its residential property in aug 2013 for 23 lakh & purchased new property on oct 2013 but by mistake he filed his return in march 2015, can he able to claim deduction under sec 54 please ans & qote a case law on it if available

Purchased the house within the time allowed u/s 54. Filing return in March 2015 by claiming exemption u/s 54 for AY 2014-15 is allowed.
