Regarding your query on updating UDIN in ROC annual filing forms (AOC-4, MGT-7, and MGT-7A):

Where to Update UDIN in ROC Forms?
UDIN (Unique Document Identification Number) is required for documents certified by Chartered Accountants, including financial statements and board reports attached with ROC filings.

In AOC-4, UDIN is typically mentioned in the attachment of the financial statements, usually in the Audit Report or Certificate signed by the CA.

Similarly, in MGT-7 and MGT-7A, UDIN should be mentioned in the Secretarial Audit Report or the Board’s report where certification by a practicing professional is involved.

How to Update UDIN?
Preparation of Reports by CA:

The CA prepares the Audit Report, Secretarial Audit Report, and other certificates.

The CA generates a UDIN for each document through the ICAI UDIN portal and mentions it on the reports.

Filing with ROC:

While filling AOC-4 or MGT-7, you attach the relevant reports (Audit Report, Board Report) as PDFs.

These attached reports should have the UDIN printed on them as part of the CA’s signature page.

No Separate UDIN Field in MCA Portal:

Currently, the MCA ROC portal does not have a separate field to enter UDIN directly in the e-form.

The UDIN is verified by the MCA backend by matching the UDIN on the attached documents.

Important Points:
Ensure the Audit Reports / Certificates contain the UDIN clearly printed.

The ROC officials validate the UDIN in the uploaded documents during processing.

If you upload documents without UDIN or with incorrect UDIN, the form may get rejected or queries may arise.
