Hi, I have received Intimation u/s 143 from CPC for AY 2011-12 In the computation, Self Assessment Tax deposited by me is not reflected which has resulted in tax payable amount.
I deposited Self Assessment Tax in Jul 2011, which is also reflected correctly in my 26AS. When I try to upload rectification to correct the error, I get error saying "Your input details are not matching". I have tried to enter the data many times meticulously but I am always getting the same error.

Thanks Siddhartha for your reply. I am entering the Intimation amount only (both in Aggregate Income Tax Liability - col 18 and Total Tax Credit - col 22). But even then I am getting the same error. I called the call center the day I received the intimation and they asked me to wait for some more days and try again. But it is already one week past now and still the same error coming :-(

It looks like you’re dealing with a common issue when trying to upload a rectification request for AY 2011-12 related to mismatch errors in tax credit details — specifically because the self-assessment tax you paid is not reflected in the intimation, causing the “Your input details are not matching” error.
Here’s a quick summary of what might be happening and some tips on how to fix it:
### Why the Error Occurs:
* The intimation under section 143 issued by CPC does **not** include the self-assessment tax in the tax credit section. * However, your own calculation (or 26AS) includes the self-assessment tax. * When filling out the rectification form, you need to **enter tax credit figures exactly as per the intimation** issued by CPC, **not your own calculation**. * If you enter tax credits including self-assessment tax (which is not shown in the intimation), the system throws the mismatch error.
### What to Do:
1. **Enter the tax credit exactly as per the intimation:**
* Enter the tax credit figures shown in the CPC intimation letter, excluding self-assessment tax. * Make sure the “Aggregate Income Tax Liability” and “Total Tax Credit” columns match the intimation exactly.
2. **Verify Intimation Number Carefully:**
* Double-check the intimation number you are entering in the rectification form to ensure it matches exactly.
3. **Wait for System Updates:**
* Sometimes the CPC system updates the tax credit details after some time, reflecting self-assessment tax later. * The call center advice to wait a week is common because the backend systems may take time to sync.
4. **If the Problem Persists:**
* Contact CPC or the Income Tax Department helpline with your communication reference number. * Ask for manual intervention or clarification about the mismatch. * Keep documentation ready: copy of your 26AS showing self-assessment tax, bank challans, and the CPC intimation letter.
### Additional Tips:
* Make sure you are using the latest version of the rectification form on the e-filing portal. * Clear browser cache or try a different browser to rule out UI issues. * If available, try filing the rectification through the offline utility provided by the Income Tax Department.
