13 September 2010 One of My Client based in Ahmedabad(Gujarat)has engaged in trading of Electrical goods & already registered with Commercial Department having valid TIN registration.

Now He wants to change line of business being franchisee/agency of U S Pizza Hut(Making of Italian Pizza).

Now query is whether the Existing TIN Registration is suffient for doing the said Business by way of filing Amended Application to Concerned CTO or we have to file fresh Application for new TIN Registration.
Please confirm if amendement is required along with Application to Concerned Deptt
In case of Existing TIN Registration then what documents/ procedures/formalities to be followed/needed for submission Purposes to concerned Commercial Deptt.

13 September 2010 No need to apply for a fresh registration. The existing registration needs to be amended to include franchisee / agency business.
