TDS short deduction set off

I have a query regarding TDS Short deduction.
Is there any provision in the act wherein short deduction (like @ lesser rate ) in one quarter can be compensated ( or set off) by deducting @ a higher rate in next quarter...
please do reply...

01 June 2011 Simply deduct the accurate TDS and deposit shortfall along with interest, there is no provision in act to set off TDS ag. deducting higher rate of TDS.
