06 July 2010 i paid tds along with interest.

i use tds return prep software provided at nsdl site.

i entered challan detail along with interest.
in the deductee record sheet how to give the tds portion and interest on the same.

if i give tax deposited as TDS+interest party gets the credit of whole amt (TDS + Interest).

so is it like u should not give TDS+int under total tax deposited col. den how challan amt and tax deposited as per deductee anexure will match?

06 July 2010 In dedcutee sheet no need to enter interest only tds details you enter and challan sheet only you show the interest amount

06 July 2010 on that case Total Income Tax Deducted at Source and Total Tax Deposited as per Deductee Annexure in the statistical reposts will be same figure and total challan amount will be have excess amount which amounts to interest...is that wat ui mean sir?

06 July 2010 I agreed and understand your query, in the challan sheet there is separte column for interest for each challan, you can mention the actually tds in deductee sheet and enter in the challan sheet tds and interest also. Software will not restrict when you are validate, it will compare only the TDS not interest
