30 June 2012 Company ABC Ltd. is Paying Rent for Premises Rs. 150,000/-p.a. for A.Y. 2011-12 and Rent Paying for Godown Rs. 2,40,000/-p.a.. and deducting on Godown Rent but not on Premises Rent. Should ABC Ltd. deduct TDS On Premises Rent.

30 June 2012 If payee is same in both cases and you are deducting TDS u/s 194I on godown rent then you need to deduct TDS on premises rent as well since the limit of Rs 180000/- p.a. is to a single payee and not in respect of single property.
