TDS on printing charges

Whether TDS is applicable on printer charges paid by the company on basis of reading of the Xerox machine.. in the bill VAT is charged on 80 % of the bill amount and Service Tax is charged om the rest.. Total bill amount for the year is Rs. 61,000/-..

Yes the tds is deductible on the 20% amount.( Because that pertains to charges for service provided and the 80% is for material)

If no separate bill is provided for services and material, TDS is aplicable on the entire bill as the nature of the services is of contract for doing some work as per section 194C.
