06 September 2011 Is it necessary to deduct TDS in current year if TDS has been deducted last year......

also tell me weather TDS has to be deducted for payment to private electricity distributors....

28 December 2017 Applicability of provisions of TDS have to be seen from the point of view of each individual transaction. However, chapter XVII also prescribes certain yearly deduction threshold. So, Prima Facie, the reply to your first question is no. there is no compulsion to deduct TDS in the Current AY based on the deduction of Preceeding AY.
