12 May 2011 TDS has been deposited under wrong section.( 94K instead 94J). Under TDS return we have to give detail of 94J as we can not fill against 194K [ no option available as 194K] we discussed with the department they said to give a indemnity bond for the same. What to write on indemnity bond?..please advise....

12 May 2011 No need to give indemnity bond. Just write an application to the concerned ITO with the mistake happened and request him to rectify in the system.

12 May 2011 but they denied to take letter without indemnity bond..pls suggest wat to write...they said to write about the mistake...

13 May 2011 Generally they rectify the mistake online after receiving the copy of letter from you. If they are insisting just give a declaration/ undertaking of the said inadvertent mistake.
