Dear All,
Kindly clarify TDS 194 C against transport charges, my query is we have engaged vehicles from one Transporter, he is having 9 vehicles only and also the transporter procure the vehicles from different owners from the market.the bill amounts are more than 50 lakhs. Now, in this transaction may i deduct TDS or not. kindly clarify.

As the transporter is hiring the vehicles in addition to owning the vehicles TDS applicable u/s 194C.
