This query is : Resolved

06 January 2014 Sirs & Friends,

We have a party to whom we transfer cloth from a vendor, this party then does dyeing and printing work on the cloth, will this attract T.D.S U/s 194C, Cloths are directly transferred by us to this party from our vendor, they are never bought to our factory or unit if the cloth is unsatisfactory they are returned by this dyer or printer to our vendor. Is this job work will this attract TDS.

07 January 2014 Yes. TDS will be attracted u/s 194C. Though cloths are directly supplied but the printing and dyeing work is done for you and you will be booking tge expenses. Hence TDS is required to be deducted.
