if interest amount exceeds tds under sec 201(1a) than amount of interest should be equal to tds or higher than as calculated???

Amount as calculated should be paid.
Penalty u/s 234E contains the rule of Rs 200 per day subject to maximum of TDS amount involved. No such rule in case of Interest.
