13 August 2013 I am manufacturing firm and i have paid brokerage of Rs 1800/- to an HUF, i want to know whether tds is applicable or not?

13 August 2013 Section 194H(TDS on commission or brokerage) is not applicable if the payment or aggregate of payments in a year DOES NOT EXCEED Rs. 5,000/-

This payment does not exceed Rs. 5,000/-. If the approximate total payments will not exceed Rs. 5,000 then TDS is NOT required to be deducted.

Otherwise TDS to be deducted @ 10%.
