whether to take declaration from transporter for non deducting tax at source on availability of PAN by transporter

I think declaration in Form 15I was required till 30.09.09, w.e.f 01.10.09 we can ask only copy of PAN card for non deduction of TDS.

A better option will be to get the PAN mentioned in the mentioned in the invoice.

i agree with Shyam lal i thing that will reduce the burdon of collecting PAN Card copy every party.
