For 2 employees the tax on salary got missed out (the incentive paid to them were got skipped while arriving at their tax liability.)We have deposited the tax in the month of July (along with the penalty). Form 16 have already been issued to them. How to show this now?. In form 16 the tax liability is more than the tax deposited for them. They will get a notice from IT Dept if they file their return. How to handle this ?
Thanks a lot for the reply. But if we ammend form 16, will their be any type of default we would fall in? (last date of issuing form 16 is 30th April.)
Also we have not made provision in our books for TDS to this effect. How will I match my returns of 24 Q with the ledger balance. Please advise..
