Sir i want to know, what is the date of commencement of a quarter month for calculating service tax. Is it 1st day of month or 5th day of Month.
Please help me...

08 September 2014 Day of commencement is 1st but the due date is 5th of Next month. Say Service Tax of 1st Sept to 30 Sept to be deposited within 5th Oct (6th Oct in case of e-payment).
