Stamp duty payable on partly paid up shares

This query is : Resolved

22 June 2010 While issuing partly-paid shares how does the stamp duty will be payable?whether paid on face value or amount of money called upon?

22 June 2010 It is better to pay stamp duty on the full value of the shares.

The unpaid amount would be called on the shares and upon receipt of the calls, the shares would become fully paid up. Generally companies send stickers to the shareholders for affixing that the shares are fully paid up. Hence the above suggestion.
