Speculation transaction

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether intraday stock transactions conducted through a broker without actual delivery are classified as speculative transactions or taxed as short-term capital gains/losses. It specifically questions if the principle remains the same when transactions occur via a broker's pooled account, without direct debit/credit to the client's demat account, and whether clients can still declare them as short-term capital gains/losses.

11 December 2020 will Intra day transactions made through a stock broker without actual delivery be considered as speculative transaction / or taxed as short term capital gain/loss?

Suppose the intra day transactions happen through the pooling a/c of the broker without actual debit/credit to clients d-mat account, will the same principle hold and will it be considered as a speculative transaction? or can the client declare it as short-term capital gain/loss?
