Sett Off Excise Duty against Service Tax Liability

We are contractors for construction of residential building. We purchase steel, cement as prime material to be used in construction of building where excise is leived on the purchases. Can this excise duty available for setting off the service tax liability.

NO ,YOU CAN NOT AVAILABALE OF SETTING OFF EXCISE DUTY.BECAUSE 67% ABATEMENT ARE THERE TOWARDS MATERIAL COST.
