12 February 2009 sir,
in my properietry concern i have collecting service tax from stating of bussiness to about three year but i am not paid to the department because of ignorance of about service tax, so my query is can i paid service tax of all three year tax without panelty or with penlty and if i can pay, then what legal prosedure of the same and what is limit of payment period of the same case
Please give me full details of the my query

12 February 2009 You can pay the service tax collected by you alongwith interest @ 13%p.a.
Also, you will have to pay penalty of 2000/- per return which is to be filed half-yearly with the service tax department.
