Service tax on transport

ABC manufacturing unit registered under central excise and monthly transportation charges is Rs 1 lakh Inward & outward.

Transporter is not charging service tax in his bill.

My query is whether co is liable to pay service tax if yes please provide me the some details regarding cenvat adjustment.

15 May 2011 its not rebate, its input credit to be set off against taxable output services / taxiable manufactured goods

if the end product/services are exempted then no input credit available.
