Service tax on rent

11 December 2012 I am receiving a rent 3,70,000 per f.y year. please suggest me how much amt. service tax will be paid ASAP.

If rent is received on letting out residential property for residential purpose then no ST to be charged..

If its commercial purpose you can claim Small Service Provider upto Rs. 10 lacs of Value of Taxable Service Provided.

Rate of ST for FY-2012-13 is 12.36%
