Is service tax chargeable on Subscription fees received from Participants of Marathon organized by Charitable trust for raising funds for Education of poor children.

As no service is rendered no service tax is payable.

But the Trust is organizing the Marathon, that includes taking approval, arranging all facilities, safety measures to make Marathon possible and convenient.
Apart from this, They also provide T Shirt, Badge, Drinks.
