04 December 2012 dear experts,
I registered under service tax and my turnover in 2010 is 1050000, in 2011 is 1350000 and in 2012 it is only 975000. my question is can i avail basic exemption limit of 1000000 in 2010 and now how much amount i have to service tax and how to calculate?

04 December 2012 You can avail the exemption of Rs. 10 lakhs for the year 2010.

Service tax shall be payable on the balance Rs. 50,000

For 2010-11 the service tax exemption limit is 10 Lacs.
