Sir i filed 4 Service tax returns at one time using e filing.
i confirmed that no need to submit hard copies of that submitted returns using e filing facility.
then is i need to pay penalty myself for filing late return or not??????

if pay now, you no need to pay when department raise the demand

If ST-3 is belated, late filing fee attracts mandatorily as per rule 7C of Service Tax Rules,1994.

aces says that if assesse filed ST 3 using online facility and that showed status as filed then no need to go to the department for giving them a hard copy of that return.
so i think if they demand penalty for that only then i have to pay.
