whats the basic meaning of section 143 and its sub section detatils and also same for section 154?

Under sec 154, mistakes apparent from record are rectified. Ie those mistakes on which two views are not possible. Ratification application can be moved upto a period of 4 years.
Intimation u/s 143(1) is send if during processing of return at cpc any refund/demand is due.
