Can any one suggest me how much percentage of amount will get exempted from taxable income if we donate amount to charities...

16 August 2014 The following are percentage of donations amount to charities will get exempted from taxable income.
a) 100% deduction without any qualifying limit (e.g., Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund).
b) 50% deduction without any qualifying limit (e.g., Indira Gandhi Memorial Trust). c) 100% deduction subject to qualifying limit (e.g., an approved institution for promoting family planning).
d) 50% deduction subject to qualifying limit i.e. a maximum of 10% of the gross total income.(e.g., an approved institution for charitable purpose other than promoting family planning).

in above (d) before taking deduction pls check the charitable trust or institution are taking the certificate of deduction of 80G or not.
